HIIT & Conditioning sessions

In addition to steady routine of weekly strength training, members can join our HIIT & Conditioning sessions to increase endurance and improve metabolism.

Contrary to Popular Belief, Cardio isn’t Bad for your muscle

Somewhere, a long time ago (pretty sure it was the late 90’s), a personal trainer who hates running started a rumor that cardio is bad for those who strength training, and that it can actually waste away your muscle.

Turns out, our anti-running friend was wrong – improving aerobic fitness through strategic use of cardio training has a host of benefits, including better stress management, faster recovery, and less cardiovascular fatigue when performing higher-rep strength training. All of those things only serve to make it easier to add muscle.

Plus, it helps you live longer and lowers the risk for certain diseases. Sounds like a win-win to me.

Cardio with a Coach

Now that we’ve established that cardio can be a good thing, the next step is a really important one: DOING IT.

We know that one of the reasons many of our members train at All Strength Training is for the guidance and accountability, so you know exactly when you’re coming and that the workout you’ll be doing will be effective. So if you’re somebody who struggles to motivate yourself to do cardio on your own, you can easily complement some of your strength workouts with our HIIT & Conditioning sessions.

Mix & Match Strength Training with HIIT

  • Apply some of your semi-private sessions to strength training and some to HIIT as part of your membership
  • 30-minute sessions in a small group environment for extra motivation
  • A combination of bodyweight training, plyometric movements, calisthenics, core training, and conditioning drills
  • Recommended for those with at least a few months of strength training experience to ensure good movement quality
  • Led by an AST coach like all of our small group training

add 1-2 sessions/week as needed

*Sessions from any group training package can be applied to HIIT training sessions, allowing you to mix and match between strength training and HIIT as part of your weekly routine.
